Cricket Yurchick, 43, of Hamden, was taken into custody Tuesday morning, March 4, after a North Haven homeowner noticed an unfamiliar car parked in their driveway for about 15 minutes, authorities said.
Officers responded to the Hartford Turnpike home around 11:45 a.m. and found Yurchick unconscious in the running vehicle with drugs visible inside, North Haven police said.
After waking her, officers said she showed signs of impairment. A check of the vehicle identification number (VIN) revealed it had been reported stolen, according to police.
Yurchick was arrested and charged with motor vehicle larceny, possession of a controlled substance (suspected fentanyl), operating under the influence, driving with a suspended license, and improper use of a marker plate, authorities said.
